I first came across Lyne when I was a pupil at KH, and Lyne was a student bandmaster ( the only lady on both courses) I was full of admiration in the way she handled the fowl language, that was flying about by the D of M.
we used to laugh about it so much in later life.
She was always a true lady every time I met her, both at Cornhill Band and when she came to shows I was playing at with Guildford School of Acting. The world has lost a great musician and a true lady. God bless, Rip Lyne X
